"Wild West" Theme Show

The Illustration department at Montserrat College of Art does a show every year with a set theme, open to both students and alumni. Typically the subjects are pretty basic, leaving the artist plenty of room for creativity. This year's theme is "Wild West":

The deadline is next month, I'll post more as this piece is fleshed out.

I had full intentions of entering this one and then the deadline just snuck up on me. In the infamous words of Douglas Adams: "I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by."

I hope you got off better. The colours on this as it stands are beautiful, I really like how they play into one another. And then again I am always a sucker for a stretched horizontal composition. I would love to see what you came up with in full since I do not think I will be able to get down to the show.

All the best,
Victoria

Thanks Vicki! I just made the deadline by the skin of my teeth myself, so I'm not entirely happy with the finished product, but it is what it is. I was actually excited about the theme this year.

I'll post the finished piece once I get it back from the show (I stupidly forgot to bring my camera to the opening). And I love your Sturbridge Village work, by the way!
